Why 75% ? - because this is the optimal concentration recommended by global health standards for hand sanitizers. Strong enough to kill germs effectively, and balanced to penetrate and break down bacteria and viruses properly.
Why is the formula not 100% Ethyl Alcohol?
More isn't better, because it will evaporate too fast and there wouldn't be enough contact time to kill germs and bacteria.
Why is there purified distilled water in the formula? Is it just a filler?
No, water is a crucial ingredient in hand sanitizers! The presence of water slows down evaporation and increases surface contact time for a more complete penetration of cell walls of harmful microorganisms.
